J. Kelly Nestruck, chief theatre critic, The Globe and Mail Previously, he wrote for The Guardian, in London, England. In 2017, he won the Nathan Cohen Award for Excellence in Critical Writing for his essay on the revival of three plays by Arthur Miller. He earned a MA at the Centre for Theatre, Drama and Performance at the U of T, and studied drama at McGill. He is married to the playwright, Charlotte Corbeil-Coleman. Mr. Nestruck will discuss how a theatre critic goes about analyzing a play and its performance, and as an audience, how we can effectively engage in its dramatic rendering.

The Heliconian Club is happy to launch the 4th annual Heliconian Salon Series. The series will showcase guest speakers, from each of the artistic disciplines represented by sections of the Club. All Salon evenings will be held at historic Heliconian Hall, 35 Hazelton Avenue, Toronto, (Bay subway). Events begin at 7:30 (doors open at 7:00) and light refreshments are included.
