Event Details
Hyacinthe Jadin is one of the least familair names from post-Revolutionary Paris. A remarkable talent whose life was cut traqgically short at 24 years of age by tuberculosis, his quartets Op. 3 date from 1798, and they presage the romantic wave that would cover European music in the next 70 years – not bad for a 22 year old! We will also be presenting one of Joseph Haydn’s stupendously masterful Op. 71 quartets, as well as one of Mozart’s quartets dedicated to Haydn.
