Event Details
A program of music by four of Toronto’s most accomplished singer-songwriters.
Curated by Andrew Downing
Songs of Toronto celebrates some of the best and brightest Toronto songwriters who weave into this city’s musical fabric in its cafés, bars, festivals and living rooms. Featuring John Southworth, Justin Orok, Rebecca Campbell and Lydia Persaud, the concert will introduce you to some songs that will doubtlessly become some of your favourites.
The evening will vary in style from art song to troubadour ballad and deal with love, loss, joy, sadness and everything in between.
In addition to hearing the songwriters sing their own songs, Confluence Artistic Associates Patricia O’Callaghan, Teiya Kasahara 笠原 貞野 and Maggie Keogh will add their voices to the evening, and the group will be joined by an ensemble of guitar, piano, strings and vibraphone.
