Featured Program

Serebryany’s program “Music And Memory”, is inspired by an idea behind Schumann’s Fantasie, in which he uses quotations from Beethoven’s song cycle An die ferne Geliebte (To the Distant Beloved), a piece of longing and unrequited desire. The remainder of the program explores Beethoven Bagatelles and Sonata 101, and Serebryany's colleague Evis Sammoutis' Interpunct (2011). Each of these pieces weaves quotations of music full of nostalgia, which triggers the mind to explore memories.
