The 100 Voices of Toronto - 100VT is an ambitious choir project by African Women Acting – AWA. The project is structured to accommodate community members from age 14 and up including amateurs, professionals, general public, people from all work of life, Seniors, all religious belief, and all nationalities.

It is an exemplary project through the African singing style, a sophisticated cross vocals and poly-sounds of indigenous African music. A method that has the ability to excavate hidden singing potentials and an attempt in healing any kind of emotional distress, and to convey joy and happiness that is unique and beautiful.

Our motto for the project: The miracle you search is within YOU!

Arsene Duevi is a Togolese bass and guitar player, singer, choir director, composer and ethnomusicologist, arrived in Italy in 2002.
His own original compositions all share the same message coming directly from the Southern hemisphere: choose life, don’t let yourself be used by money, never give up, hug one another, stand up, sing and make your voice stand out in a sea of other voices. Haya in Ewe means "REJOICE" and it is Arsene’s new soul-moving hymn celebrating life.

When performing “solo” as a true showman and shaman, he takes us on a journey to the root of sound.
