Nos Jeudi-Ciné sont de retour ! 

Ce film est présenté en partenariat avec Radio Canada Ontario dans le cadre de la fête du cinéma d'animation. 

Venez profiter du film en version originale avec les sous-titres en anglais dans notre salle ! 

Pourquoi avons-nous choisi ce film ?

La série « Culottées » est l’adaptation 100% animation du bestseller de Pénélope Bagieu. Traduite en 17 langues et publiée dans plus de 22 pays Culottées est une oeuvre à ne pas manquer, c'est pourquoi nous avons choisi de vous la proposer sur grand écran ! 

Synopsis :

30 portraits de femmes, connues ou inconnues, qui ont osé faire voler en éclats les préjugés, et ont changé le monde à leur manière.

Guerrière apache ou sirène hollywoodienne, gardienne de phare ou créatrice de trolls, gynécologue ou impératrice, rock star ou femme à barbe, athlète ou chamane, exploratrice ou astronaute et bien d'autres en 30 épisodes de 3min 30 chacun ; de Hedy Lamarr, actrice et productrice hollywoodienne mais surtout inventrice de la technologie à l'origine du WiFi, à Annette Kellerman, nageuse extraordinaire et inventrice du maillot de bain moderne, en passant par Leymah Gbowee, travailleuse sociale, militante libérienne et prix Nobel de la paix…

Compte tenu du protocole sanitaire en vigueur, un certificat de vaccination et une pièce d'identité seront demandés à l'entrée du bâtiment. Le port du masque est obligatoire dans nos locaux.

• Utilisez l’entrée sur Spadina Road (porte en verre)
• Achetez / réservez vos billets / RSVP en ligne. Pas de billetterie sur place !
• Les portes n'ouvriront que 20 minutes avant l'événement
• Les portes seront fermées 10 minutes après le début de l'événement
• La distanciation physique doit être respectée partout dans le bâtiment
• Masques obligatoires. Il vous sera demandé de les garder pendant toute la durée de l'événement.
• Veuillez remplir notre registre
• Veuillez nettoyer vos les mains avant d'entrer dans le théâtre (gel hydroalcoolique disponible)
• Votre siège sera sélectionné par un membre de notre équipe pour assurer une distance sécuritaire
• N'apportez ni nourriture ni boisson
• Profitez de l'événement !
• Utilisez la sortie sur Lowther Avenue (porte du théâtre)

Our Movie Thursdays are back! 

This movie is presented in partnership with radio Canada Ontario as part of the animation film festival. 

Enjoy the film in its original version with English subtitles in our theater!

Why did we choose this film? 

The series "Culottées" is the animated adaptation of the bestseller by Pénélope Bagieu. Translated into 17 languages and published in more than 22 countries, Culottées is a work of art not to be missed, this is why we have chosen to bring it to the big screen!  

Synopsis:

30 portraits of women, known or unknown, who have dared to shatter prejudices and have changed the world in their own way.

Apache warrior or Hollywood mermaid, lighthouse keeper or troll creator, gynaecologist or empress, rock star or bearded woman, athlete or shaman, explorer or astronaut and many others in 30 episodes of 3min 30 each; from Hedy Lamarr, Hollywood actress and producer but above all inventor of the technology behind WiFi, to Annette Kellerman, swimmer extraordinaire and inventor of the modern swimming costume, and Leymah Gbowee, social worker, Liberian activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner…

Please note that in accordance with current health measures, proof of vaccination and an ID will be required at the entrance of the building. Wearing a mask is mandatory in our premises.

Health Measures:

• Use the door on Spadina Road (glass door)
• Buy/Book your tickets/RSVP online. No box office on-site!
• Doors will open only 20 minutes before the event.
• Doors will be closed 10 minutes after the beginning of the event.
• Physical distancing has to be respected everywhere in the building.
• Your seat will be selected and facilitated by a member of our team to ensure safe distancing.
• Don't bring food and beverages.
• Enjoy the event!
• Take the exit on Lowther Avenue (Theatre door).
