Having performed as percussionist with the legendary Cesaria Evora for 11 years, this Cape Verdean singer and multi-instrumentalist is now focussing on his own musical vision, drawing on his vast rhythmic knowledge to create a unique guitar-driven sound.

Miroca launched his much anticipated new album D'Alma ('soul') live at WOMAD Las Palmas and Spanish national TV RTVE last November. It quickly picked up by radio stations from North America to Australia.

Since then he's been on the road with his live band: a sold out show in the Netherlands, filled venues in Russia, from outdoor festivals to performing arts centers, from Portugal to Poland. As highlight of this summer Miroca was invited to play WOMAD's flagship festival: Charltonpark UK!
